Certified ISO Risk Manager (PECB) • Bachelor's Degree(Honours) in Criminology from the University of Malta • In the process of obtaining a masters degree in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management with the University of Leicester As a Risk Management professional with a Criminology background and a strong focus on human and operational risk, including process efficiency and enterprise-wide risk exposure. I’ve contributed to the development and implementation of Risk Management Policies, Crisis Management Plans, Disaster Recovery Plans, and Business Continuity Plans ensuring resilience in dynamic business environments. I specialize in identifying key risk indicators (KRIs), conducting in-depth risk assessments, and crafting effective mitigation and response strategies. My approach merges technical rigour with behavioral insight, applying criminological theory to enhance organizational resilience and people-driven risk management. I actively support talent development by mentoring team members, guiding risk-related task handovers, and assisting in the recruitment of professionals who bring both technical and interpersonal strength to the table. I also deliver ISO training and consultancy, using experience-based simulations to improve awareness, engagement, and compliance. Strategic use of tailored risk matrices allows me to help departments prioritize risks across operations, aligning risk management with business objectives in a measurable, practical way. This has led me to start studying my masters degree in Risk, Disaster, and Crisis Management with the University of Leicester in 2023(Course completion will be in 2025). My ultimate goal is to be able to apply a risk-based approach within companies to achieve healthy business development and continuity by ensuring that the proper mitigation measures and risk response strategies are implemented, and that employees across all business units take a proactive approach to mitigating risk.
