About Daniel Bosi

Correctional Captain in a county correctional facility. I have been employed within the agency since 2009. Currently I am the Shift Commander for the 2x10 operations. I have promoted through the ranks of an officer to sergeant and now to my current rank. I have also been a part of the agencies CERT team, SERT team as Assistant Team Leader, Intelligence Unit. In my career I held certifications in less then lethal munitions instructor, defensive tactics PPCT instructor, CPR & AED instructor, Dynamic Cell Extraction / Use of Force Documentation instructor. I have also received certifications in a variety of firearms, PREA investigator, presumptive illicit substance testing. I have also taken a variety of courses through FEMA, American Correctional Association, DOJ, NIMS. I additionally was I the United States Air Force. I was a Security Forces member. I deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) where I was a QRF member. I was awarded numerous federal, state, and local awards during my service. I also assisted in the support of hurricane sandy relief. I also belonged to Bower Hill Volunteer Fire Department. I held ranks of Fire Fighter, Lieutenant, Captain, and Chief Engineer. I also was a certified PA EMT-Basic. I would assist in departmental training, purchases, operations and would also assume command on a variety of emergency calls ranging from car accidents to structural fires. I enjoy taking courses online to learn new topics and expand my knowledge. I try to maintain a growth mindset and work to not revert to a fixed mindset. I have taken courses where I have received diplomas in Legal Studies, Psychology, Forensic Psychology as well as numerous certification courses from a variety of agencies. Learning new areas and topic that can relate to my career or interests has been a hobby of mine, but recently has grown.
