About Daniel Branyon

I love Finance and Economics, and that’s why I choose to work in Corporate Treasury. I head our Global Treasury Operations at Scansource, where I get to engage these interests, which includes capital allocation, liquidity and cash management, bank and capital market operations, FX risk management – typical Treasury stuff. But it is more than that. I also love international business and people. I spent a fascinating 6 years living abroad, 3 years living in France as an auditor for Michelin, where I travelled to 20 countries covering mostly non financial risks in sales, HR, logistics, and what today we call ESG. This work also allowed me a favorite pastime – hours around a table eating good food and talking with a diverse array of people. Working in Treasury I find I am routinely engaged with smart, curious, and diverse people. I also get to lead a great team. I love working in the technology sector. I love change when aligned with progress, and tech has driven much progress over the course of my career. Scansource is at the center of this, delivering leading technologies and solutions from leading suppliers using its evolving distribution strategy, from mainly hardware when I first started to cloud and connectivity and growing recurring revenue today. At Scansource, I have participated in 3 M&A ventures and one divestiture. I am a lifelong learner and oriented toward growth. I am an optimist and think better things are ahead and must be pursued. I am constantly reading something, exploring new ideas and technology. I am currently working on developing better modeling skills and driving a digitization initiative to improve efficiency. I am also learning to play tennis with a goal to compete this year and advance a level.
