About Daniel Burdsall

I'm an early-career professional with a passion for helping communities work better together. I help people and organizations achieve their goals through facilitating collective action towards systems change. Meaningful and sustainable systems change starts with individuals and relationships - I'm passionate about connecting individuals together to accelerate equitable outcomes across MISSION: Creating equitable outcomes for all populations, no matter age, race, or zip code. Ensuring community voice drives decision-making. Facilitating collaboration cross-sector to ease systems TALENT: Connecting people, building transformative relationships, centering youth and families, working to solve adaptive challenges, executing impactful projects IT TO LIFE: I have over half a decade of experience facilitating community power-building to improve our systems. A first-generation college graduate and a Master's degree holder, I have worked in a variety of organizations and environments - from Community Health work in Belize with the Peace Corps, to bringing the community to a learning space for young adults via my work with the Youth Advisory Council at University of California San Diego's Center for Community Health, as a Project Lead with the COVID-19 Operations Data Entry & Analysis team during the pandemic, and in my current role as a Community Liaison with the Communities of Focus team at the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department. I work tirelessly to bring community perspective, systems change frameworks, and results-based practices together to improve health outcomes for historically marginalized communities, especially those often forgotten about or left out of opportunities. I help build bridges between sectors (educational, behavioral health, workforce) and community coalitions to ensure better health outcomes and well-being for our community by making participatory processes the North Star for our community partners, advocates, and residents.
