About Daniel Burke

I am a strategic thinker with a reputation for working alongside senior executives to solve complex problems and translate strategy into action. I focus on innovation and have a track record of employing digital technology to design and launch new products and services - particularly in the healthcare sector. My current role with Magentus as Managing Director of Clinical Diagnostics in APAC enables me to combine these skills and experiences to help clients deliver better health outcomes for the people they serve. I have held executive leadership roles as a strategic advisor and top tier consulting partner for the last 20+ years, and bring global experience in supporting clients across multiple sectors in the UK and Australia. As Managing Director of Scyne Advisory in Australia, I created a five-year growth strategy for a new company carved out from PwC's public sector business under private equity ownership. The strategy was endorsed by the Board and is designed to steer a course to growth through a pivot into digital services. Prior to this, I was a Partner with Strategy & (PwC’s global strategy firm) in Melbourne, where I managed a portfolio spanning the Victorian Public Service and Federal clients. I was lead partner for health and social services in Victoria, and created a strategy for investing in a new managed services capability for the PwC business in Australia. As lead Partner for Central Government & International Consulting Services with PwC UK, I doubled the size of this practice focusing on nationally important projects designed to help business adapt to the challenges of Brexit and Covid. These schemes involved the design, implementation and operation of large-scale programmes which combined industry insight with digital technology, underpinned by an ‘as a service’ commercial model. During my time as a health care partner in the UK, I led a series of projects working with senior clients to design and implement integrated care, value-based pricing and population health models. I hold a Master’s in Social Policy & Administration from the University of London. I’m a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I am a Chartered Management Consultant.
