About Daniel Cadogan

I am a serving front line Police Officer with a number of years of experience. This has exposed me to numerous incidents, highlighting my ability to work in rapidly changing situations, focusing on key decision making, prioritising objectives to achieve the best outcome for all parties and stakeholders. I have developed strategic, tactical and operational skills to best prepare me for any challenge in this role and developed my understanding of assessing risk, developing working strategies, considering options and planning contingencies within any situation. I have a very good understanding of law and policy, including policy creation, and have taken this forward to a managerial perspective in my new role as of 2022/2023 when I was promoted. This new role as of 2023, moving to a continuous professional improvement project, not only helps me understand and develop several front line departments in my organisation but also has exposed me to key data analytics, report construction and delivering feedback through performance meetings and delivering key training inputs to colleagues. Additionally this has allowed me to manage upwards in my chain of command as well as peers and junior ranks. Over my time within Bedfordshire Police I have received numerous commendations and am proud to work within such a challenging and high pressure environment.
