Daniel is a Master in City Planning student at MIT who utilizes data science, spatial analysis, network analysis, design, planning, and interdisciplinary thinking to promote mobility and housing justice. Some of his works at MIT includes- using data analytics & GIS to promote affordable housing development in Transit-Oriented Development in Jakarta, Indonesia- using machine learning to predict nation-wide residential net electricity usage in the US - using pedestrian network analysis to measure post-disaster pedestrian activity in Beirut, Lebanon - using GIS multi-criteria analysis to understand the relationship between urban informality and flooding in Jakarta, Indonesia- building a prop-tech startup in affordable housing development in Jakarta, Indonesia Daniel has a background in architecture and worked professionally as an urban designer for 5 years in Jakarta, Indonesia. As an urban designer, he worked on new town master-planning and transit-oriented development. He was heavily involved in the national award-winning urban design of the New Capital City of Indonesia.
