About Daniel Campbell

I retired (2016) from the Albuquerque Police Departmentp as a sergeant in the Traffic Division. In 2018 I started with USA Gymnastics Safe Sport as the Lead Investigator. USAG Safe Sport handles misconduct complaints for the gymnastics community nationwide. I collaborated with my team to promote safety and help prevent athlete abuse. I was fortunate to have worked with several talented colleagues who continue to help make gymnastics a safer sport. In January 2021, I accepted a position with St. John’s College of Santa Fe as the Director of Public Safety. During my time at St.John’s, I implemented several changes that helped improve the services of public safety officers on campus as well as promote better awareness of safety among the staff and students. In December of 2022, I was contacted by the US All Star Federation (USASF) about once again returning to the world of athlete safety. I accepted a position as the Investigations Supervisor for the Conduct and Compliance department. Once again, I am fortunate to be helping athletes who have experienced abuse as well as striving to make sports safe for all participants.
