About Daniel Cauthorn

My goal is to create web applications that evolve as needed while holding their value over time. I’ve worked with javascript for over eight years, connecting front-end UIs with backend PHP for optimal user experiences. The past three years I’ve been more interested in using javascript in a full, server/client stack via node.js and its associated libraries. My current job duties involve the maintenance and continued development of MedsTracker, a PHP/AJAX based healthcare application which embeds into larger, doctor’s office EHR systems, such as Epic. I also have ten years of LAMP stack experience with website/database design and maintenance. Specific emphasis on class based PHP and javascript applications; both custom builds and frameworks. Extensive experience in ecommerce, using Zend and Magento, but also custom ajax-based systems. Also enjoy working in Angular.js, React, Bootstrap, Laravel, and Drupal. I’ve been lead developer on multiple enterprise level websites, and have been involved with their continued maintenance as needed. I also have extensive experience with various APIs and web services for programmatic import/export and translating of data. Experience working with Docker to encapsulate different machine environments and networking between them.
