About Daniel Cho

As a junior student at the University of Florida majoring in statistics, I am actively seeking roles that encompass a broad spectrum of opportunities, from management and IT positions to business analysis, data science and analysis, and software development roles. My academic background and experience have equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in these areas.Currently, I serve as a research assistant at the Florida Museum of Natural History, where I work in R Studio, applying advanced machine learning techniques to downscale climate regions of significance. This experience has honed my skills in data analysis and statistical modeling along with familiarizing me with version control and working conjunctively with my professor.In addition, I have undertaken an independent research project in Python, utilizing Jupyter Notebook to perform sentiment analysis on Elon Musk's tweets and their impact on Dogecoin prices. This project allowed me to proficiently use data science libraries such as pandas and numpy to clean and analyze data, ultimately drawing meaningful correlations.I am eager to leverage my academic foundation, coupled with my hands-on experience, to contribute effectively in roles that demand analytical prowess, technical acumen, and innovative problem-solving. My objective is to join a dynamic team where I can apply and further develop my skills, contribute to data-driven decision-making, and continue my journey of learning and growth in the field of statistics and related disciplines.
