When I left Malaysia to acknowledge my business failure is an emotional blow. Wind up the business that I had founded can be quite desperate and feel like losing my identity. But I believe those who unable to get up after a fall of the weak can only taste the bitterness, only unyielding struggle to win victory. So I decided to leave all behind, moving abroad to New Zealand for embark a new challenge. When I first arrived in New Zealand with a student visa, I was aged 35 with savings and that's literally all I have. I feel like there are countless challenges when I move to another country to start all over again. Everything takes so much more time before I get used to it, even buying a simple bus ticket. I lived this life where I had four part-time jobs as waiter, dishwasher, cleaner, McDonalds, as well as a full-time postgraduate course going. I believe If I want to be successful in any walk of life, hard work is a necessity. “Today's tears water tomorrow's gardens". All my hard work has paid off. Over the past few years I have earned postgraduate qualification, having a job offer even before graduating, gained my residency, and purchased my first house here. Self-discipline, motivation, and understanding my limits allowed me to manage these challenges, but I definitely encountered few setbacks and have learnt a few lessons. Applying for a position can be challenging, especially when you are 40 yrs old. Most people my age would most likely settle down for a comfortable compromise. But I guess I never settle for less. Something that sets me apart from other candidates, is my business development experiences by manage my own business for 20 years in my home country Malaysia. Starting a business is never easy, but something I enjoyed, and I am good at it. I try to pick the best match for my personality and strengths, which is I understand the importance of building business relationships. And what makes a difference between a successful relationship and one that fails. I believe relationships are one of the major aspects in the world of premiere banking today. A high-net-worth individual does not settle on the "best" bank, with so many distractions and competitors vying for their attention. They will appoint the banker they feel connected to, quite often without consciously realizing it. I may not have all the requirements or experience you would prefer. But I believe that my excellent ability to retain and integrate new ideas efficiently makes me a strong candidate
