About Daniel Ciccarone

Upon the completion of my tertiary studies in 2019, I have commenced employment with NAB in the role of an unsecured lending banker. I am currently responsible for providing excellent customer service and delivering great outcomes for both clients and my employer, NAB. Being very process driven is imperative in such a role and adhering to the obligations bound by AFSL Tier 2 Accreditation, as well as regulatory obligations and NCCP. In addition to this, I have also undertaken additional responsibility as the "risk champion" of my team, providing assistance to colleagues with their required compliance as bankers. Previously, I was a people leading retail management professional with a track record of consistent delivery against departmental targets and set budgets. My expertise laid in being able to train and motivate staff and create a cohesive and well-drilled team by providing a clear and compelling direction. I was responsible for supervising operations and ensuring standards are maintained in line with brand expectations. My role encompasses stock management to ensure minimal loss, customer service with conflict management skills and managing departmental compliance of OH & S and Food Safety requirements. I’ve taken pro-active steps to diversify my experience into other industries and fields of knowledge. I have completed a four month internship with the NBL's Melbourne United Basketball Club operating in a business analyst role compiling and managing data for their B2B connection program 'United in Business'. My work assisted them to service their corporate membership base and enhance their value proposition gaining me valuable exposure to business development and segmentation, event management whilst building valuable confidence engaging within a corporate business environment. I greatly enjoyed my time with Melbourne United because it enabled me to mix my two passions that of business and basketball. I also undertook a position at the Department of Premier and Cabinet creating official correspondence to be released on behalf of the Premier. This instilled a great appreciation for organised workflow process within a communications team whilst exposing me to international business whilst using my research skills to explore opportunities in agriculture policy and defence contracting.
