In my past roles, I've headed architecture teams and served as a team leader in several companies, often taking the reins on platform decisions. I've led large-scale architecture projects in the financial services and fintech solution spaces, specializing in public-facing performance architecture and distributed systems development. In all my professional engagements, my core role has been to champion improvement, guide development, and ensure optimal performance of critical software systems. My breadth of experience has equipped me with a holistic view of the software development landscape, enabling me to guide teams in delivering exceptional results. Whether it's leading development initiatives for Canada’s major telecommunication companies, designing and developing a real-time simulation of a complex industrial mining application, or creating solutions for a large-scale financial workflow application, I have consistently leveraged my skills to bring value to these roles. In every project I undertake, my goal is to mentor, guide, and empower my team to deliver the best possible solutions while maintaining a keen focus on security, efficiency, and scalability. I take pride in having had the chance to fundraise for projects on Kickstarter, assist high-speed rebuilds of online ecommerce applications, and advise on large-scale application development projects for major financial services companies. One of my most fulfilling experiences was leading the solutions architecture and development for CDIC's key risk analysis and intervention systems, where I helped realize a ten-fold capacity increase for mandate systems. Beyond my professional engagements, I am an active contributor to the wider tech community, giving talks on various tech-related topics, supporting several open-source projects with major adoption, and acting in a mentoring capacity for my teams, all of which have allowed me to stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly evolving industry.
