Daniel Crotty is a Senior Transportation Planner at HNTB. He provides project management and consulting services to advance transportation solutions on a national level. He has experience providing technical support and policy guidance to a host of government organizations, boards of directors, and transportation-related agencies. His experience covers a variety of planning-related topics, including: • Federal grant preparation strategies; • Freight mobility planning and project prioritization practices; • Long range plan development and updates; • Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) support; • Multi-modal data collection and analysis programs; • Policy and regulations development; • Project performance measurement; • SMART solutions coordination and integration; • Specialized committee design, recruiting, and facilitation; • Strategic business plan development and monitoring; • Transit system cost allocation principles and reporting methods; and • Truck parking supply and demand studies. Mr. Crotty has experience working with municipal governments in developing strategic plans, strategic implementation programs, and project prioritization programs. He has also led a variety of planning efforts involving freight and transit through his work with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the Port of Philadelphia, the Broward MPO's Freight Technical Advisory Committee (FTAC), the Miami-Dade TPO's FTAC, and Florida's Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Council's (MPOAC) Freight Committee. He has also given presentations at various events and conferences for the Florida American Planning Association (APA) Chapter, the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (AMPO), and the MPOAC.
