As a medical doctor with over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, I have consistently demonstrated my ability and expertise to lead and innovate in the fields of medical affairs, scientific affairs, healthcare provider and regulator engagement, as well as real-world evidence studies and clinical trial development and execution. My career has been marked by a commitment to advancing public health through the development and implementation of cutting-edge medical affairs strategies and evidence-based practices. I am an expert in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology, with extensive experience in clinical practice, clinical research, epidemiology, and drug development. Over the past 20 years, I have focused my career on the life cycle of new molecules, including anti-infectives and vaccines. As a detail-oriented, accountable, and committed investigator and leader, I have advanced from the roles of Senior Medical and Scientific Affairs Manager to Vice President of Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry. My goal as a physician is to implement asset-specific Medical and Scientific Affairs plans by analyzing available data, identifying data needs and gaps, developing a targeted evidence generation agenda, and creating data dissemination and HCP engagement plans with a focus on public health priorities. In my current role as Senior Medical and Scientific Affairs International VP Lead for mRNA Vaccines and Antivirals at Pfizer, I am successfully leading Medical and Scientific Affairs Teams in the strategic planning and execution of medical initiatives, always in complete alignment with Cross-functional Team Leadership (medical, research and development, regulatory, commercial, access, marketing). My expertise includes various therapeutic areas connected with infectious diseases and public health, including vaccine and anti-infective development and real-world evidence (RWE) generation. I have a proven track record of successfully engaging with public health regulatory authorities, including vaccine-technical committees (VTC), key opinion leaders (KOLs), and healthcare professionals (HCPs) in general, to drive impactful asset-specific medical and scientific programs.
