About Daniel Dowling
My graduate and postdoctoral studies have involved the structural and biochemical studies of metalloenzymes. I study these systems using techniques that include X-ray crystallography, enzymology, and molecular biology. Topics that interest me include natural product biosynthetic pathways, tailoring enzymes responsible for adding chemical complexity to many natural products, and posttranslational modifications of biological macromolecules.
