I am a Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist with a solid foundation in healthcare and clinical research, specializing in stem cell transplantation, cellular, and gene therapies, with experience in Switzerland and internationally. Currently, I'm enhancing my expertise in leadership, healthcare management, and business as an Executive MBA candidate at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. My professional journey includes a Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation fellowship at the University of Minnesota Hospitals, where I was privileged to contribute to the team of Paul Orchard administering life-saving gene therapy to the first U.S. patients with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. This transformative experience ignited my passion for oncology clinical research, drug development, and biotech innovation, driving my commitment to bring life-saving therapies to patients. As part of my EMBA, I analyzed the full journey of this pioneering therapy with Nektarios (Aris) Oraiopoulos—tracking its development at the San Raffaele Gene Therapy Institute in Milan, its acquisition by Orchard Therapeutics, and its successful commercialization and impact on patient care. Additionally, I had the privilege of securing Dr. Don Drakeman as a client for our EMBA Team Consulting Project, where we delivered strategic insights and solutions exceeding expectations. My expertise extends across medical writing, pharmacovigilance, internal medicine, pharmacology, and medical education. I am also deeply engaged in clinical operations, medical records, and advancing the field of oncology through collaborative research and innovative approaches. To further my impact, I am actively exploring the feasibility and potential applications of cell shielding technology within the field of cell and gene therapy, aiming to improve therapeutic outcomes.
