About Daniel-Dumitru Timis

I graduated from Technical University of Cluj - Napoca, faculty of Automation and Computer Science (bachelor and master degree). I studied Control Engineering and how a process can be controlled. During that time I improved my technical skills (programming Skills (C, Embedded C, Java, Matlab and Simulink), process simulation skills, controller tuning skills and the methodology of engineering project implementation and execution). Presently, I am a PhD student at TUCN. After I graduated the University I got hired by EMERSON Process Management as a project engineer, department of Process Systems and Solutions. I am manly involved in Batch projects (Batch programming and testing). I have experience with DeltaV software and all related software applications. Also, I have experience with factory commissioning and start up. I have worked on 6 different projects, on 4 with high responsibilities. Since 2020 I am qualified as trainer. I am teaching Batch basics and I am working to develop and improve trainings that we deliver to the new engineers. I enjoy to code and to work with embedded systems as a hobby. I am working on a quad-copter project, trying to make it fully autonomous. This is also my research subject for my PhD. study. I was a member in an EUROAVIA Cluj-Napoca, a former president and executive member. I was involved in local and international activities and events also I was involved in lot of extracurricular activities. I was president of the students forum in my high school. During that time I learnt how to coordinate a team, how to lead a project and I gained skills on public speaking.
