About Daniel Fabian

I have worked in the food & beverage industry for over 25 years. I came up in the industry from starting in pizzerias to working in high volume hotels. That led me to working as a freelance caterer for numerous catering companies throughout the tristate area for many years. Eventually I would go on to start my own business as a private chef until I took a position as an Executive Chef for a fine dining establishment in Bergen County NJ on a local golf course. There is where I would go on to meet my future business partner. After the business was dissolved, I was offered an opportunity to join a food truck business that was being spearheaded by my former colleague. Together we changed the NJ food truck scene through a massive social media following that put the spotlight on a nostalgic local brand with over 70 years of history as we traveled throughout NJ/NY gaining notoriety and winning awards at numerous food truck competitions. We then opened our first brick and mortar where I was able to showcase my original creations and elevate the nostalgic brand. My creations garnered the attention of various social media pages that would make us go viral quite a few times. My work has been featured on The Food Network, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, Thrillist, Insider Food, USA Today, News 12 NJ, Saveur Magazine, Fox & Friends, and World Star Hip Hop to name a few. My burger creation has garnered me a #11 ranking for the "Best Burger in the Country" having been viewed over a half a billion times across 15 countries. We were also ranked "Best Pig Out Spot" in America. Like many in the food industry, the Covid 19 pandemic affected us as well and we were forced to close. During that time, I got married and started a beverage company with my wife and became a consultant. All while still doing private catering on our food truck with the old business. After 3 years of grinding it out, my business partner and I finally are able to announce our return with our new brand 1950 Originals! Our mission is to restore quality in fast food dining by using quality ingredients and offer customers an affordable value.
