About Daniel Farber

Dr. Farber is a board-certified and fellowship-trained foot and ankle specialist at Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. He was previously at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Orthopaedics. and prior to that he was at the University of Maryland following private practice in Montgomery and Howard counties in Maryland. Dr. Farber earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he was elected to the AOA Honor society. He continued his training with a general surgery internship and then an orthopaedic residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. His fellowship training was completed at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, specializing in surgery for disorders of the foot and ankle. Dr. Farber’s research interests focus on Achilles’ tendon, bone graft harvesting, patient perceptions, and various problems of the foot and ankle. He will be building a new Orthopaedic residency training program at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
