About Daniel Fejtek

BI enthusiast, especially focusing on ETL and datawarehouse design, architecture and implementation. Currently working on a relatively complex BI platform in telco, using many different technologies. Main components being AWS, Snowflake and ADE (Solita's ETL tool), but including also Tableau, SSIS and Airflow. From the technologies perspective, I have a long term experience with AWS, Snowflake (both 5+ years, SnowPro Core certification), Oracle (developer & partly administration), Informatica (development + administration), python and also Teradata and Netezza databases (developer). Some project I have been working on: Telco: completely new, enterprise-wide BI platform / data lake in Amazon Web Services (Snowflake, Dataiku). Telco: I was thrilled to be part of a project using graph (no-SQL) DB technology called EXFO Ontology for building a service impact analysis platform. Telco: My first introduction into cloud was building a (partially) self-service BI/data analytics platform based on AWS, using Cloudera, Dataiku, Spark, Impala and terraform. Retail: Financial enterprise DWH, based on Teradata and Informatica From industry perspective, I have been working mostly in Telco and Retail areas, both 10+ years. Originally started as a developer in many technologies (C, Pro*C, PL/SQL, HTML/CSS, Java, unix shell, Oracle Forms, APEX)
