As a senior program/project manager, I’m all about creating an environment where projects can proceed as planned, with minimal disruptions. My meticulous approach to strategic planning—to really understand the requirements and stakeholder vision—enables me to set everyone up for success with accurate scope, timelines, and resource allocation as well as clear expectations.With 20+ years of experience leading projects in the highly regulated banking, fintech, marketing, and energy sectors, I’ve consistently achieved high-quality outcomes while also boosting team morale and stakeholder satisfaction. Here are a few highlights: At NWMO, completed the final 20 months of a $2M, 4-year website implementation project that had fallen behind schedule while also driving standardization and documentation across 100+ other projects. At CIBC, took over a massive rebranding initiative upon a $1B acquisition, getting the project back on track within 3 months by swiftly synchronizing thousands of diverse physical and digital assets. At Richardson GMP, identified significant performance issues with the vendor and skillfully navigated tough conversations to raise performance within 2 weeks and continue a productive partnership. The lynchpin to seamless project execution is communication; and I work diligently to establish open and transparent communication among stakeholders. There are many big personalities involved on a project and frustrations can arise when ideas conflict. My approach is to empathetically listen, allow time to process, and then come back to clarify. This establishes trust and allows me to be the censor between parties, helping to repair relationships and facilitate “aha” moments.With a focus on continuous improvement, I’m also a big believer in having the right tools and resources to make work more manageable. Whether creating custom dashboards or implementing PMO methodologies, I’m always looking for ways to improve efficiencies, mitigate risks, and yield consistent high-quality results. Although my projects may be boring, I bring a dynamic and innovative approach to all my endeavours. I have a healthy sense of humour; I push myself to learn and try new things; and I am an entrepreneur at heart. With the right balance, we can get the work done and have fun doing it!
