About Daniel Fitch

I come from humble beginnings raised in Harlem, New York. Between 1990-2013 I lived all over New York City and etc. Nevertheless, I was blessed with many different opportunities to work throughout the five boroughs of New York City. The different types of occupations span over 18+ years or so including California. My life experiences have helped me to better understand how to accommodate different populations and demographics of people. However, while at the same time surviving and finding my own ground. Throughout my college experiences, I continued to learn more of myself, and to better myself as time progressed. Nobody is perfect in this world. However, it is not necessarily a bad thing to reach a similar level of excellence close to perfection. I spent 4.5 years[2007-11], in the New York City foster care system. I have always been really vocal about foster care-related issues in America. I experienced that firsthand, and it hits me harder than it would to others. As far as homelessness goes, I have stayed in some shelters as a youth. My point is not to seek sympathy, but to show awareness, and a sense of understanding to those who are not willing to understand these very issues someone like me had to overcome & endure. Therefore, one should never judge a book by its cover. You do not know what a person has gone through. I know that all too well. When it comes to "struggle" I will always work harder for everything I have until the death of me. Not saying I did not have special positive moments growing up, it is just that I had to leap hurdles to get to where I am now more than others could possibly imagine. And sadly somewhat continue to. However, I have used those unfortunate life experiences and more to help better myself towards a brighter future. I am grateful to God and those who have looked out for me along the way over the years. Life is what you make of it. I understand that. I will always work hard for mine even when there are bumps along the way. This is part of what we call "life". Human services was a major field of interest when I went to Modesto Junior College, though I am starting to look into Sociology a bit more now a days. I may or maynot continue to pursue a higher education beyond my AA degree(class of 2019).
