Daniel Flanigan’s career has focused on bringing highly disruptive solar products to market. After a decade-long career as a solar electrical contractor, Daniel co-founded Zep Solar, a company that changed the face of rooftop solar and, in just three years, gained nearly half of the US residential market before being acquired by SolarCity in 2013. After Tesla’s acquisition of SolarCity in 2016, Daniel served as a Senior Staff member, overseeing solar product development. In 2018, Daniel co-found Ojjo, a company that upended tracker foundation design at gigawatt scale and was acquired by Nextracker in 2024. Daniel joined Erthos in 2020 to launch another disruptive company – this time with a technology platform that completely eliminates steel structures for utility-scale solar by installing solar modules directly on the earth.
