About Daniel Flores

I am a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Honors College and a candidate for a Political Science Bachelor’s Degree. I have spent the majority of my education studying Criminal Justice and Police Science. I dedicated a large portion of my time to deepening my understanding of the American legal system, and familiarizing myself with the applicable skills such as public speaking and critical thinking through my participation in mock trial competitions and my local police explorers program. In college, I pivoted to studying international politics and I am committed to pursuing a future career in foreign service and international law. I have spent the past 3 years developing my interests in this field through relevant coursework and through frequent participation within my university's Model United Nations team, where I served as Co-President. Outside of my interests, I developed my writing and research skills through my work as a tutor, and my interpersonal, conflict resolution and leadership skills through my positions as a residential assistant with UMass Dartmouth and as an observation aide with Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
