About Daniel Freire

I am science-driven and patient-centered, and my primary areas of interest include biologics and biosimilars, oncology, endocrinology, and immunology. Solid medical training (medical degree, internal medicine residency, endocrinology and metabolism residency) and a Ph.D. in Endocrine Oncology (Adrenocortical Cancer) from the University of São Paulo. From 2004 to 2016, I worked at the Reference Center for Endocrinology (Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP) and the Reference Center for Oncology (Instituto do Câncer do Estado de São Paulo). From 2007 to 2016, I worked as a medical evaluator for local and global pharmaceutical companies, supporting new business development, marketing and regulatory affairs. Since 2016 I have been the Medical Affairs Manager at Sandoz Brazil and since 2018 as the Head of Medical Affairs, participating in the National Executive Committee and reporting directly to the Country Director. Starting from 2020, I assumed the position of Regional Medical Director for Latin America, and since then I supported the launch of 4 biosimilars in more than 10 countries.
