About Daniel Gavens

Daniel was born and raised in Northern California before moving to Colorado in 2012. He obtained his Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Pediatric Primary Care from the University of Colorado Anschutz Campus. Prior to that he received a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Redlands and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the Denver School of Nursing. Before joining the CO Kids team, Daniel volunteered on ambulances in Israel, and worked at Children’s Hospital Colorado in their Emergency Department and as a House-wide Resource Nurse. Daniel has always known that he has wanted to work in pediatrics. After many years in a hospital setting Daniel is most excited about building relationships with his patients and families, and helping them reach their full potential. His passions in medicine include adolescent medicine, asthma management, and sports medicine. While Daniel is not in the office you can find him enjoying time with his wife Sarah, baby (5/2022) and their dog, in the mountains, snowboarding, climbing and biking.
