About Daniel Gehringer

With over twenty years of experience in the public sector serving the California Energy Commission (CEC) and the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), I possess practical and technical knowledge coupled with a passion for technology, business negotiations and strong team building. I have solid experience managing/leading teams, developing new programs, program management, strategic planning, marketing research, data analytics, environmental policy and keeping a large team on schedule and within budget. I have a proven track record in developing efficient, targeted program plans, implementing successful projects, applying research to create effective strategic direction and being the lead on developing new programs from the ground up. I am a dynamic and motivated leader with excellent analytical, interpersonal and program management skills. With a specialty in Transportation Electrification, I have managed customer/community facing plug-in electric vehicle programs and offerings including but not limited to a residential Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) program, commercial PEV program, and a Low Carbon Fuel Standard program. In addition, I have managed the following topic areas; low-income programs, building efficiency, short/long duration, vehicle grid integration, battery technology, disadvantaged communities, revenue generation, LED technology, and general electrification. I have the experience, skills and passion to make a substantial contribution building cohesion for increased productivity and moral. What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to coordinate enterprise wide and utilize my strong relationship building skills for a successful outcome.
