About Daniel Gill

Hi, I'm Dan – currently Senior Design Engineer at TFI Marine, where we're breaking the mould in the floating offshore wind sector. Our team is bringing a game-changing subsea mooring component to market, which will enable floating offshore wind projects by reducing costs, environmental impact, and CO2 emissions. When I first joined TFI Marine, I worked purely as an engineer, designing, testing, and working through DNV certification. However, more recently, my role has expanded to include commercial projects, giving me the opportunity to work across both technical and commercial activities. I'm also the co-founder of Swimclub.ie, an Irish company providing affordable outdoor swimwear across Ireland and the UK. We believe swimming is good for the soul, and our mission is to make it easier for everyone to get into to the sea. In our first year, we delivered over orders total to date), and we’ve built a strong community around our brand. This journey has given me invaluable experience in eCommerce, brand marketing, supply chain management, freight, fulfilment, distribution, and strategic planning and execution. Outside of work, I can't resist the Sea. Whether it's surfing, kitesurfing, or sailing, I love nothing more than getting out on the water whenever I can sneak away.
