I’m a Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering with a deep passion for biomechanics and sports science. My research explores the use of wearable technologies, such as inertial measurement units and GPS, to quantify and understand the running demands of team sport match-play. This work aims to provide actionable insights for practitioners to make more informed decisions around player load and performance. Alongside research, I have a particular love for teaching. I’m driven by the pursuit of the ‘light bulb’ moment, when a student grasps a concept for the first time, and I take great pride in guiding learners toward those breakthroughs. Whether in the lecture hall or the lab, I strive to create engaging, supportive environments that foster curiosity and confidence.
