About Me: I am a determined and hardworking student that is looking to transfer those skills into the work environment. Currently I am 20 and studying BEng Mechanical Engineering (Automotive) in my third and final year at the University of Birmingham. I enjoy following football and Formula 1 in my spare time outside of studying. I am looking for an opportunity after my time at university to apply my range of skills gained whilst studying. Skills: I am fully proficient and enjoy using CAD/CAM software and have experience with Solidworks and Fusion Autodesk 360. Whilst studying I developed these skills by designing a CO2 removal plant along with a team of other aspiring engineers. My focus was on the pipeline of the plant which involved a great deal of research and design including the integration of the pipeline system within the plant. This project excited and expressed my passion for projects relating to sustainable energy use and production. Experience: I have experience in two engineering related companies, the first being Sitting Firm a where I worked closely with Design Engineers to assist on their current project which at the time was designing the manufacture of their newest product. I also worked at an Automotive Engineering company called Marchant Cain where I was closely involved in designing the door seals for one of their biggest clients. I have been employed by McDonald’s for over a year now which has allowed me to apply teamwork skills gained at university and has assisted in my personal development.
