About Daniel Griffee

I an experienced litigator and trial attorney who has worked extensively in resolving agricultural, insurance and general business disputes. I have also advocated on behave of special needs students. Prior to earning my Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Monterey College of Law in 2003, I worked in the commercial insurance and agricultural industries for 15 years. For 5 years, I served as Dole Fresh Vegetables’ Manager of Casualty, Property and Product Liabilities where I supervised Dole’s national self-insurance retention exposure and negotiated settlements of coverage disputes. Combining my knowledge of the law with my business and insurance experience, I seek to maximize my clients’ bottom line by informing them not only of the chances of litigation success but also its costs and viable alternatives. I understands that sometimes the best approach to resolve a dispute is not through expensive and protracted litigation but creative thinking. I have litigated cases throughout Southern and Northern California and am admitted to practice in the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of the United States Federal Court in California. I attended California State University Chico where I earned dual degrees in Political Science and Public Administration. During my time at CSU Chico, I served as director of CSU Chico’s Legal Aid Clinic and also served as captain of Chico’s Lacrosse team. Currently I serve on the Board of Directors for Dorothy's Place in Salinas. Additionally I am currently the President Elect for the Corral de Tierra Rotary Club,(District #5230). I have lived in the Central Coast and Monterey Peninsula areas since 1990 and currently live in Salinas with my family.
