About Daniel Hancock

I retired in 2021 - My career has seen many different jobs. My first Job after graduation from MSOE with a BSEE degree was with Texas Instruments as an MOS Memory design engineer in the semiconductor industry. I ended up transferring to their Digital Systems division just over a year later. The transfer was to a small office in Southfield, Michigan. We worked on building test stands for the automotive industry. From there I moved to ITT in Des Plaines, Illinois working in the telecommunications industry. I spent over 2 years with ITT, before moving to A.B,Dick with a group in Elk Grove, Illinois which was designing a set of word processing products that would be put in a network of products. This is before the commercial availability of home computers. I worked on the Synchronous Data Link software for communication between multipletiple Word Processors and printers as well as future planned products. I worked for more than 2 years with A.B. Dick. They moved our group to a new location. The drive was awful so I moved to Honeywell in their Commercial Division. We were developing a new product line for commercial building management: HVAC, Lighting Control, etc. After 5 years at Honeywell, I was laid off during downsizing of the division. Went to Motorola in their Cellular Switching group. I spent 15 years before being downsized. I was involved with multiple projects during that time and was a project manager when I was h. Since then I started my own business and closed the business. After I closed the business, I got certified to substitute teach and I also started tutoring students through a Youth and Family Services group. Finally I got a Part Time ob as a night auditor, which became a full time job.
