About Daniel Hansen

While looking for a job, I met a family friend who worked as an electrician. He offered me a position with the electrician team close to my home. From day one, I was twisting wires and screwing in screws. The daily challenge was making sure I kept up with everything I was learning. Despite the difficulty of learning something new, I still found small aspects to learn from. Through putting in light fixtures and outlets, I became interested in understanding the laws that made these instruments function. When I enrolled in my first career-focused class, electrical circuit analysis, I could not remember what I had learned nearly three years ago. I spent countless hours, day and night, in the tutoring lab, in my room, studying and trying to learn about derivatives and integration. With the patience of both the tutors and myself, I was able to finish the class with an A. Ending the semester with such a great grade, I felt my passion grow learning these concepts. I want to become a lifelong learner not just focused on the concepts of engineering and life. I hope that the knowledge I gain can be shared with others in improving their lives and understanding.
