About Daniel Harrison

For over 20 years I have both attended and worked at a summer camp. I have a variety of experience with them. Originally I had intended to study elementary education and psychology, but after some extensive traveling, my interests shifted towards the hospitality and tourism industries. As well as my camp experience, I have also studied and worked in the hospitality industry since 2012. I have had the opportunity to be trained in a variety of positions in a hotel, providing a great deal of understanding of the different jobs and departments within. I have also traveled to over 40 US states, 47 countries, and all 7 continents. This has provided me with unique experiences within the industry, as well as gaining knowledge of other cultures and lifestyles. Recently, I was employed as a general laborer in the demolition and renovation company, ServPro. Seasonally, I am working at the summer camp. My role there is essentially a personal assistant to the owners/directors in the summer season. In addition, I fill in as a supervisor or run activities when needed. I have begun organizing group trips with my fellow alumni from camp to places overseas for reunions. The latest such trip was to Spain and included coordinating people from 3 different continents for a trip lasting several days. My most recent job is as a bar back at Twin Peaks in Myrtle Beach, SC. Current certifications include ServSafe, CPR, and RAMP. I am always excited to learn and develop new skills to both further myself in my personal life and career.
