About Daniel Ignacio Galarce Toro

Luego de completar mis estudios en la Universidad de Chile, trabajé en Fundación Chile, a cargo de valorar oportunidades de negocios y de la planificación financiera y el control de la Unidad de Agroindustria. En Sep2007 inicié un Master en Finanzas en Manchester Business School, enfocándome en finanzas corporativas y técnicas de valoración, graduándome con distinción en Dec2008. En 2009 ingresé a Banco de Chile como Coordinador de Estudios y Planificación en la División de Gestión y Control Financiero. He estado en Banco de Chile desde ese momento, llevando a cabo diversas labores y siendo promovido a diferentes posiciones relacionadas con asuntos de control y planificación financiera, incluyendo jefe de estudios, jefe/gerente de control financiero de tesorería y gerente de control financiero de tesorería y capital. Dentro de esos puestos he participado liderando proyectos estratégicos incluyendo dos aumentos de capital, colocaciones de bonos, alianzas comerciales estratégicas, implementación de Basilea teniendo a cargo el control financiero del negocio y de riesgos financieros de tesorería y la gestión de capital de BCH-‐- After graduating from University of Chile, I worked in Fundación Chile, being in charge of both evaluating business opportunities and leading the FP & A of the Agroindustry Unit. In Sep2007 I started a MSc Finance at Manchester Business School, focusing on corporate finance and valuation techniques, graduating with distinction in Dec2008. In 2009 I joined Banco de Chile as Research and Planning Coordinator in the Management and Control Financial Division. I have been at Banco de Chile since that time, carrying out various tasks while being promoted to different positions related to financial control and planning matters, including head of research, head / manager of treasury financial control of treasury and, currently, manager of financial control and capital management. I have participated/led diverse strategic projects including two capital increases through equity offerings, offshore bond placements, strategic business alliances, the implementation of Basel while being in charge of both capital management of BCH and the financial control of the treasury business and financial risks control.
