About Daniel Inman

Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Herein, I serve as an undergraduate instructor and researcher of the Kharlampieva group involved in novel research at the intersection of polymer chemistry, nanotechnology, and biomedical science focused on the design, synthesis, and characterization of multifunctional polymeric materials as novel "intelligent" platforms for controlled delivery of therapeutic compounds. Previously, I studied at Savannah State University (SSU), recieving my B.S in chemistry as a MARC-U-STAR Scholar. Therein, I participated in research experiences with the Army Education Outreach Program through the Department of Defense and the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL). My work was rewarded the opportunity to present at numerous conferences including the: Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students, STEM Innovators Conference hosted by the Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority participation, South Eastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society, American Chemical Society National Meeting, SSU Annual Research Conference and UNL Undergraduate research Experience Conference. I served my university through the Department of Housing and Residence Life as a Community/Resident Assistant managing a staff of 10, the Office of Admissions assisting with recruitment events alongside other Georgia HBCUs, and the Student Life team with campus wide events. I am an active member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated, Sigma Xi Honor Society, the American Chemical Society and the American Physical Society.
