About Daniel J. Clark

I have spent the past 30 years working passenger boats, incl excursion, tour, gaming, diving, and research vessels, as well as private yacht charters. Having started as an entry level deckhand, I have worked through all positions onboard, up to Sr. Ship's Captain. In doing so, I have been involved with every type of event possible, from the most basic party cruises, to white-gloved dinner services, with over 500 wedding coordinations. In 2014, I completed my first year touring the Inside Passage of Southeastern Alaska, piloting wildlife sightseeing boat tours to the Davidson Glacier, from Skagway, Alaska. In 2017, I joined the fleet of whale watching captains in Juneau, Alaska. In January, 2019, having worked 11 years upon the waters of Lake Mead, and 5 years upon the waters of Southeast Alaska, I have taken my 16 years of tourism experience and have launched my own educational hiking company in Southern Nevada. ROGUE HIKING.US is an Authorized Commercial Use Operator at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, conducting tours daily. We specialize in walking tours of the western shoreline of Lake Mead as we tell the "human story", and walk you through the camping area of those who built Hoover Dam during the Great Depression, as well as the historic St. Thomas, NV. The town which had to be evacuated as a result of Lake Mead's rising water. ** The company,"ROGUE HIKING.US" was closed with the Covid-19 pandemic. It was not reopened due to Federal regulations making it impossible to hike outdoors, with face coverings, in the Nevada desert.
