I am an experienced and well-rounded health and safety professional with a proven background in creating and implementing health and safety best practices and measures within the construction industry and the utility sector. Currently as a Safety Consultant, I work with clients in the construction industry to assist in creating, implementing and maintaining a health and safety management system. My Environment background from the University of Waterloo along with my extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation has provided me the necessary skills and knowledge to strive in my current and previously held positions. Having worked closely with field workers, I gained important knowledge and understanding of the work they do create and implement safety measures within their everyday work. Passion and drive are two traits that best reflects me as an individual. Having an interest in drones, I turned my hobby into my own side business, gaining a certificate to operate commercial drones, and now providing drone services to help businesses and farmers make informed decisions, as well removes the need to send a worker into an otherwise hazardous situation by replacing the worker with a drone.
