About Daniel Kedney

Committed, methodical and highly motivated individual and team player with a strong apptitude for troubleshooting, problem-solving and systems thinking. In my current role as a Calibration Engineer at J&J MedTech, these skills are fully utilized in contributing to deliver reliable and high quality calibration services to production teams. Leadership on quality improvement (CAPA) and cost reduction projects has pushed me to develop these aspects to my skillset with a focus on the communications and team rapport required to successfully execute and deliver complex projects under time constraints. My professional career started with my first job as Sailing Instructor in 2008. I continued to professionally develop myself through the 2010s, building to a Postgrad Diploma in Adult and Further Education as well as gaining a wealth of experience in a range of activities and roles in different Outdoor Activity Centres. My previous role as Chief Instructor at The Oysterhaven Centre saw me responsible for staff training and co-ordination, activity management, and equipment maintenance and upkeep, as well as development of new activities. In changing career, I have brought this wealth of experience and applied it in my new career area in manufacturing engineering. Outside of work, I'm a proud husband and father of one. I particularly enjoy cooking, cycling, and going on family adventures with our campervan.
