About Daniel Kerwin

Experienced leader and engineer with more than 20 years, especially in the Platform/DevOps/SRE domain. I discovered my organizational design and coaching skills and had the opportunity to strengthen these muscles in my nine-year tenure at @Gini. One of my biggest strengths is my ability to translate the needs of the business into concrete engineering work and underpin it with concrete KPIs to show progress. I thrive in an environment with autonomy and trust where I can have an impact and enable engineers to grow professionally and personally. I received that kind of support in my career, and I want others to experience the same. My professional journey started in a classical IT operations role in managing systems for an online Bank. I entered the DevOps landscape in the early days of Puppet and have been an advocate for automation, internal platforms, ownership, CI/CD, and developer experience ever since. I worked at big corporates and start-ups, in B2B and B2C, from banking and insurance to creators of interactive TV devices to the FinTech of the year in 2015. I'm self-taught and a fast and adaptable learner passionate about technology and people.
