About Daniel Kessel

Dream Job: I get to help design and create physical products. Backpacks and shoes are at the top of my list, but anything with real human use/interaction is on my list like sports equipment, household appliances, automobiles, etc. I'd like to go back to school for Industrial Design, or find an apprenticeship or internship that will take someone like myself who is full of ideas but lacks training. Current Endeavor: I started a climbing brand Unspoken Beta where I design playful shirts, and design and create chalk bags/buckets. This has dream job potential. Current Job: Stocking shelves at ALDI part time. Pretty much what is sounds like. It's simple work, but gives me good exercise and the free time in my afternoons to pursue my brand work as noted above. Last Job: I created a Shopify website for the company Rockwerx, and did basic SEO. Then I managed it and did other misc digital tasks, but job responsibilities were downsized. This job revealed to me how much I enjoy working in the outdoor/climbing industry, and I'd like to stay in the industry moving forward if possible. Seeking Job: I thrive in positions where I can be creative and collaboritive, have more than one task so I can take a mental break between things to recharge, when the company I work for actually cares about the product they are putting out and wants to do the best they can, and where I can give effective feedback as well as receive it. I'm also rather good at organizing things. Past Jobs: I've held positions in a ton of different industries, and from them I've found more where I don't want to be. This path may leave me in the dust for specialization, but if you need someone to do a ton of different things. I know how to do a ton of different things. I get messages from people all the time inviting me to join their clubs and associations based on my current role, but unless it's leading me to my dream job, I'm really not so interested. Thanks.
