About Daniel Knoll

I’m a high school Social Studies teacher with a passion for global awareness, historical thinking, and student-centered learning. Currently teaching Global Studies II and World Religions at Wissahickon High School, I design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that help students make meaningful connections between the past and the present. Previously, I taught English in Indonesia through a Fulbright Scholarship, where I gained firsthand insight into Southeast Asian history, education systems, and cross-cultural teaching. This experience continues to inform my perspective and enrich the content I bring into American classrooms. I studied History and Education at Marist College, where I was also a Division I swimmer and school record holder. Outside of the school year, I’ve served as Aquatics Director at Ockanickon Scout Reservation, leading a team of staff and teaching aquatic safety and merit badge programs. My background also includes working with college access programs and coaching youth athletics. I’m driven by a belief that history education should be engaging, relevant, and reflective of diverse global experiences—and I strive to create learning environments that spark curiosity and critical thinking in every student.
