A seasoned business professional, government official and university lecturer, Daniel Kolundzic is Vice President (North America) at Nanos Research Corporation as well as Partner | Business Development with Blue Cardinal Capital. Dan is responsible for cultivating and executing business and engagement opportunities for both organizations. As one of North America’s premier research and strategy firms, Nanos Research offers a full suite of services ranging from small market research engagements through to strategic assessments and mission planning. In addition to working with a range of private and public sector clients, Nanos Research is the official pollster of record for CTV News. Similarly, Bloomberg News Service chose Nanos to conduct Bloomberg's weekly Canadian consumer sentiment tracking, known as the Bloomberg Nanos Canadian Confidence Index. Blue Cardinal Capital LP is an investment firm and manager of private funds that invest in second and third tier North American real estate markets. Blue Cardinal creates investment funds that facilitate projects of scale, leads master development planning that builds value through ecosystem integration and content programming, and assembles resources for project success. In short Blue Cardinal Capital creates financial products to address real estate development challenges in both the United States and Canada. Prior to joining Nanos Research and Blue Cardinal Capital, Dan served 15 years with the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs & International Trade at the Consulate General of Canada in Buffalo, New York. With responsibilities for the states of New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, he managed a wide range of political and economic files pertaining to the Canada-U.S. relationship. Dan also served as senior policy advisor to the Ontario Associate Minister for Enterprise, Opportunity & Innovation. As such, he provided executive level policy analysis and advice on the full range of Ministry responsibilities including trade, investment, economic development and innovation (science & technology) strategies, planning and implementation. While presently completing the requirements for a PhD in Political Philosophy from Boston College, Dan has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo and Brock University, teaching in the areas of binational regionalism, globalization and economic development, and Canada – U.S. Relations.
