About Daniel Kornbluh

I am a customer-service expert with a desire to grow my computer-knowledge. From the very beginning of my career, I gravitated towards management. I love people and, for me, living with purpose was as clear as "WORK WITH PEOPLE". Whether it was during a Sunday after-church lunch rush or finding the pain-points in my client's insurance coverage, I was always happy. I thought my career would continue as it had begun. I would manage problems and help people to find solutions. That part didn't change. What did change was that I discovered my love for computers. I have always enjoyed working with computers in my free time. When I was 13 years old, I created a World of Warcraft private server and reconfigured my parents' router to host it. When they had computer issues of their own, it was either me or my brother doing the troubleshooting. But after all that, it wasn't until I began teaching myself Java that I realized I didn't just want to work with computers in my free time. I wanted to do this ALL THE TIME! My goal is to merge these two worlds. To use a computer, or my knowledge of computers, to help people fix their problems. Specific Proficiencies: • Java - OOP Principles, Time Complexity, Java Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, Algorithms, Garbage Collection, Regular Expressions, etc. • IntelliJ IDEA - Experience creating and working with Java files, debugging, shortcuts, coordination of packages and sub-directories, compiling, building, creation of macros, etc. • Microsoft Excel - Formatting, shortcuts, organization of data, VLookup, Pivot Tables, etc. • Microsoft Word - Formatting, proof-reading, print-settings, etc. • Microsoft PowerPoint - Building presentations to increase audience engagement. • Google - Experienced with keywords, filtration, and web-navigation for troubleshooting any problem. Other Tools: • SalesForce - Adding clients, changing status, adding notes, setting notifications, organizing by need, etc. • Xactimate - Creating house-plans and estimates, including multi-story, non-standard sizing, and various roof types (hip, gable, L-shaped, custom).
