About Daniel Kwakye Nomah

Daniel Kwakye Nomah is a Senior Scientist at Aetion, specializing in Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Epidemiology. In this role, his focus is on leveraging data-driven insights to contribute to innovative healthcare solutions. With a background in key positions at the Center for Epidemiological Studies on HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections in Catalonia (CEEISCAT) and the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) in Barcelona, Spain, Daniel's work primarily centered around advancing HIV/AIDS and COVID-19 research to enhance patient care and public health policies. He coordinated of the Gilead-funded study, COVIHVAC, evaluating the immune response to mRNA vaccines among HIV-infected individuals, and the TV3-Marathon-funded study, COREDVAC-HIV, examining the long-term impact of COVID-19 using real-world data. Demonstrating a proven track record in cross-cultural settings and community engagement, he led various initiatives providing health services to deprived African communities and migrant populations, reflecting his commitment to addressing health disparities. In addition to his research contributions, Daniel played a pivotal role in consultations with various governments and international organizations, including the WHO/TDR, UNAIDS, Global Malaria Program, and Global Fund. Beyond his current role at Aetion, he contributes to the Global Health Course at the University of Vic and the Masters of Global Health at the University of Barcelona as a lecturer on emerging infectious diseases, travel medicine, and migrant health.
