About Daniel Labuz
I have conducted research on inflammatory conditions affecting humans and their influence on both conventional and unconventional T cell effector function. Specifically, I studied circulating T cells in sepsis and T cells in severely burned skin using samples obtained from patients. My focus has centered on an innate-like T cell known as mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells. The objective was to investigate the potential of MAIT cells as therapeutic targets in these conditions. To achieve this, I utilized advanced techniques such as next-generation sequencing, bioinformatic analyses, and cell-based assays.
