Cohesive teams (staffed by people) are the key to success in technology. Engaged people with the autonomy to self-manage and self-direct are more productive and more content. Strong teams are built with people who trust one another and are free to produce without constant interference. Workers quit bosses (people) not jobs. I believe people are more important than any specific technology. I believe in the power of servant leadership—removing obstacles and putting people and teams in the position to be successful. I believe the most important thing a leader can do is hire and train smart, passionate people while providing tools and opportunities to deliver business value. Much of my work history has enabled me to build a reputation for excellence in building teams and leading long-range technology efforts as part of business development roadmaps.
