I founded Petral Consulting Company in 1988 based on a simple philosophy:"Assist clients in understanding the complexities & economic interactions for feedstocks, petrochemicals & petroleum products markets." Most managers and executives with oil, natural gas, feedstocks and primary chemicals earned their spurs by understanding how to produce and sell products to customers in North America. The development of large-scale production techniques for crude oil & NGL rich natural gas resources from shale plays in the eastern US and northwest Canada changed this worldview almost overnight. American companies are among the most adaptable & future oriented on Earth. However, the world markets for all these products suddenly flipped from a more or less predictable steady state to a world in transition and dominated by geopolitical turmoil and supply chain disruptions. We must now adjust adapt more quickly & more often. No one has all the answers but some of us have the experience and draw upon our expertise in evaluating and reducing the uncertainty due to ongoing geopolitical turmoil, uncertainty and frequent supply chain disruption. Since 1988, I have provided consulting services to more than 100 client companies & have supported hundreds of individuals with these client companies with short term budget planning, renegotiation of NGL related contracts including "propane keep dry" contracts for refinery light hydrocarbons management teams, intermediate term planning support for incremental capacity expansions, acquisitions, mergers & divestitures, and long-term support for capital budgeting and green field capacity expansions, My firm provides in depth analyses and forecasts for a broad array of natural gas, crude oil, petroleum products, NGLs & other chemical feedstocks & primary petrochemicals (olefins & aromatics). Based on my well-honed methodology, I provide cutting edge results on critical changes in pricing and market trends (as much as 2 years sooner than most other consulting firms). My objective for Petral Consulting is to expand the number of clients to our ongoing services and forecasts and to increase the scope and content of these services to include important established global markets and emerging markets for all petroleum and petrochemical products.
