About Daniel Liptrot

As a Biology Technician at Halesowen college, my main role is to ensure the safe and efficient running of multiple science labs and prep rooms, supporting various subjects including Biology, forensics and geology. I have 3 years of experience in this role, with a high level of health and safety knowledge, managing audit preperation, resource management, managing hazardous waste including organising radioactive waste collection and explosive waste collection, and supervision skills. I have recently completed the RSB technical skills certificate, which enhances my professional competence and commitment to the science industry.I am also completing my bachelors degree in biology at the Open University, to boost my scientific knowledge and skills. I am passionate about learning new skills and methods, and applying them to my work. I am also a Beaver scout leader and occasionally assist in the Scouts section as well helping young people to reach their full potential.
